
Trading Volume of Commodity Futures in January in Japan of 1 Million 294 Thousand, 3.0 % Up from December
Feb. 28, 2025As for trading volume in January on 3 commodity futures exchanges in Japan, Osaka Exchange was 1,003,357 (0.1 percent up from the previous month), Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) was 102,118 (9.8 percent up), Dojima Exchange (ODEX) was 188,577 (16.8 percent up) and total trading volume of the three exchanges was 1,294,052 (3.0 percent up).
In terms of trading volume by product, all products from top to third products were gold. The top, Osaka Exchange gold standard was 522,492 (2.4 percent up), the second, Dojima gold was 185,017 (15.9 percent up), the third, Osaka Exchange gold mini was 171,589 (4.8 percent up), the fourth, Osaka Exchange platinum standard was 169,064 (6.1 percent up) and TOCOM crude oil was 100,699 (9.6 percent up). Of the 37 listed products, trading volume of 14 products in January was nil.
