According to the Over-The-Counter (OTC) Forex (FX) monthly preliminary report announced by the Financial Futures Association of Japan on July 14, the trading value by 49 OTC FX member traders in June was 984,661,500,000,000 yen (8.1 percent up compared to the previous month, 19.9 percent down year on year).
The trading value of short positions at the end of June was 4,767,300,000,000 yen and the trading value of long positions at the end of the same month was 4,154,400,000,000 yen, totaling 8,921,700,000,000 yen (0.5 percent up, 4.0 percent up).
Of it, USA/JPY was 810,555,800,000,000 yen (8.4 percent up, 15.2 percent down). Its short positions at the end of June was 2,489,800,000,000 yen and its long positions was 2,373,300,000,000 yen, totaling 4,863,100,000,000 yen (1.3 percent down, 6.6 percent up).
