2022 JPX Derivatives Volume 390 Million Contracts, up 17.5% from 2021, Trading Value 3,147 Trillion Yen Including 72 Trillion yen of Commodity Futures

The volume of Japan Group Exchange, Inc.(JPX) derivatives in 2022 was 392,157,944 contracts, up 17.5% from 2021. By exchange, the volume of Osaka Exchange(three markets), a subsidiary of JPX, was 389,663,452 contracts, up 18.2%, Tokyo Commodity Exchange(TOCOM energy markets), another subsidiary of JPX, was 2,494,492 contracts, down 38.2%. In Osaka Exchange, the volume of stock derivatives was 367,163,386 contracts, up 18.9% from 2021, bond derivatives was 8,172,779 contracts, down 2.5% and commodity futures was 14,327,287 contracts, down 15.5%. Total derivatives trading value was 3,147 trillion yen, up 6.6% from 2021. Of the value, stock was 1,867 trillion yen, up 12.8% and commodity was 72 trillion yen.
